Planning a road trip online
l was wondering if there was a website where you could plan your road trip,
by marking all the places you wanna visit, and then it mapping out the
drive for you. Any ideas?
Not exactly, but you can do something approaching this at
MapQuest by using the drag & drop feature. First set up the starting &
ending points & let mapquest calculate the route. Then you can put the
cursor on a midpoint, hold down the left mouse button & drag the route to
any desired intermediate destination & then set that as one of the route
stop points. http://mapquest.com/
There are limitations to this, but it is a start. You can always just do the trip piecewise on a tool like mapquest or viamichelin also & just print out each leg of the trip.
